Despite being able to catch a screening at Comic Con’s Preview Night, I found myself sitting through The CW’s Arrow panel in order to ensure that I’d be guaranteed a good seat for Breaking Bad’s SDCC debut.
So worth it.
You can read all about my thoughts on the pilot here, and whether you’re excited about a Green Arrow TV show or not, it’s tough to deny that the panel for the show offered up some interesting information.
Producers for the program confirmed that the show is based upon the Green Arrow Year One limited comic book series, and that actress Kelly Hu has been cast as the villainous China White.
No complaints here.
And while stars Stephen Amell and Katie Cassidy shared a mutual enthusiasm for the project, the best news for comic book fans everywhere is that the series will continue to be peppered with easter eggs like this and that one day we can expect Dinah Laurel Lance to rock the fishnets Black Canary-style.
