After years of praying to the nerd Gods, I finally managed to score a pass to this year’s Comic Con extravaganza.
Now since this is my first Comic Con, I’ll definitely be learning the ropes. Nevertheless, I’m hoping I’ll see some great panels, snag some cool swag and be able to take some awesome pictures with costumed fans.
Who I’ll probably have to settle on taking a picture with.
But Comic Con is about more than just Q&A sessions and cosplay — it’s also a place for fans to come together and share their love for some of the most popular fictional characters in the world.
Okay, sure some fans might take things to the extreme, but Comic Con is still a place to celebrate great storytelling.
Whether it’s a screening of the highly anticipated Captain America movie or IDW Publishing’s Sparkles For Blood campaign (in which fans can exchange any sissy Twilight book for a violent 30 Days Of Night graphic novel), Comic Con has become a big time entertainment event and continues to offer fans a unique venue to indulge their passions.
San Diego Comic Con runs from July 21st to July 24th.
