The third and final trailer for The Dark Knight Rises has been released. The preview is chock full of fantastic action and creates a foreboding atmosphere so potent that it leaves one with no doubt that very bad things are coming to Gotham City.
But still not as bad as this silver shithead.
Attached to prints of the upcoming superhero extravaganza The Avengers, the TDKR trailer is likely going to be seen by record breaking audiences, which will certainly only fuel the insane hype for The Dark Knight Rises even further and inspire Bat-fans everywhere to find new ways to show their hero worship for the Caped Crusader.
In the trailer we are treated to glimpses of everything from an out of commission Bruce Wayne / Batman to a morally ambiguous Catwoman to thrillingly epic action sequences the likes of which have never before been seen in a Batman film.
Unless you count that time Adam West beat a shark to death with his fists.
However, despite the sheer awesomeness of this new footage, the fact remains it’s going to be an awfully long wait for Bat-fans until The Dark Knight Rises is released on July 20th.
Of course, if you’re anything like me, then it’s likely in the coming months you’ll find yourself watching the most recent TDKR trailer over and over again as a way to bide the time.
Although I’ll definitely be doing it in the most comfortable way possible.
