Everybody’s favourite mass murderer returns for a seventh season on September 30th, and if the teaser trailer below is any indication, then you can fully expect the serial killer shit to hit the fan.
Despite the fact it was a bit hit or miss, the most recent season of Dexter ended with a riveting cliffhanger ending that the series has literally been building towards over the course of 72 episodes.
Still with me? All right, let’s get to the good stuff. After a creepy subplot where over the course of season 6 Dexter’s sister Deborah realizes she’s in love with her adoptive brother (yecch!), Miami Metro’s finest homicide detective managed to catch her sibling in the act and witnessed him committing murder.
“Jesus, Dex! You’re a murderer!” ”Still not as awful as you wanting to bone me, sis.”
While the still above definitely teases a tense confrontation between Dexter and his sister, it remains to be seen how her knowledge of her brother’s extra-curricular activities will impact the series and if she’ll discover that Dexter’s bumping off of last season’s big bad Travis was not a one time thing.
Either way, last year’s twist can’t help but re-invigorate the show after a shaky season. And with the gifted Michael C. Hall so effortlessly owning the role of Dexter and making him a freakin’ sympathetic serial killer, you almost forget how goofy the show could come off if less talented actor played the role.

Love dexter!
The show, not the dude!
